CUDA Center of Excellence at Illinois
Summer Challenge Internship Program
Each year, the Nvidia-sponsored CUDA Center of Excellence at the University of Illinois hosts a select group of top undergraduate students as CUDA Summer Interns. While most interns are EE, CompE, or CS majors, students from other scientific disciplines that utilize programming skills are welcome.
Summer Interns are embedded in campus research groups where they work alongside faculty on diverse projects involving massively parallel programming using CUDA-enabled Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). They range from developing GPU-accelerated code for scientific and engineering applications, to beta testing advanced CUDA programming tools. Some projects include opportunities for student interns to collaborate with NVIDIA researchers.
To ensure interns' success, the summer program starts with a two-week "crash course" in CUDA programming. The internship lasts approximately ten weeks and is accompanied by a generous stipend.
